Gallery: 2000Cs and SEMs (September2010)

A third opportunity for a refueling flight in a C-160R tanker occurred in September 2010. The plan was to refuel two Mirage 2000Cs of Escadron de Chasse 1/12 'Cambresis' and two French Navy Super Etendarts as well as another C-160R. Unfortunately, the latter was cancelled due to maintenance problems which frequently occur with these old transport aircraft. The fighter aircraft had been doing some air combat against each other over the ocean and met us in the refueling area near Le Havre.
